WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Over a period of 18 to 24 months, you will have the opportunity to get to familiarize yourself with the different areas, business and functional units of BASF Coatings and gain extensive insights into the operative and project-based activities of the procurement department. Simultaneously, you will build a broad network throughout the company.

• Together with you, we plan three to four rotations in which you will take on both operational and strategic tasks in the procurement area, for example, within our Surface Treatment Business unit. In this way, we  prepare you together for your future target function.
• Right from the start, you will be given independent responsibility for projects supporting our team in various global and local procurement areas, such as the development, implementation, and monitoring of purchasing strategies.
• As part of your alternating projects and stations, you will play an active role in ensuring a sustainable and competitive supply of all BASF Coatings sites with the respective raw materials for products and services.
• You will be in close communication with other functions and central units of the BASF Group as well as our partners in the operational units.
• An assignment of three to six months abroad or to another corporate unit is an integral part of the program.
• We will flexibly coordinate your preferred start date with you.

WHAT YOU OFFER

You don't bring everything? We don't mind! Instead, we are looking for convincing personalities.

• university degree in business administration with a focus on purchasing, sales, supply chain or similar fields, such as natural or engineering sciences
• first practical experience in the field of project management, ideally supplemented with a PMI or IPMA certification
• practical and international experience in the relevant field
• proactive work ethic, effective communicator and ability to work cross functional is key
• solid communication skills in English, knowledge of German and additional languages are desirable
