What part will you play?

Siemens Bank / SFS Project and Structured Finance Debt-EA is one of our dynamic Business Units at Siemens Financial Services, dedicated to providing structured debt finance across European, Middle Eastern, African, and Asia-Australian regions. Siemens Bank has an exciting opportunity to represent the growing Syndications function as Loan Syndicator (f/m/d) Project Finance. This role will be based in Munich, reporting to the Head of Syndications.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Syndications function of Siemens Bank, effectively contributing to the strategy of the PS-EA Business Unit as well as the overall SFS strategic goals, considering profitability, proximity, risk diversification and sustainability.
  • You will work independently and jointly with the Head of Syndications and other team members to facilitate the syndication strategy on newly identified transactions and identify pools of liquidity in the EMEA region with a focus on Europe and the Middle East. 
  • You will provide guidance to origination team on prospective syndicated loan deals and assist in reviewing new lead opportunities so that deals can be structured based on syndication requirements.
  • You will support the deal team in the credit proposal process identifying the target final take for the transaction defining syndication strategies, preparing market soundings and underwriting opinions. 
  • You will work with your comprehensive and well-established ecosystem of banks and institutional investors and to engage proactively on potential syndication solutions and monitor market trends in different asset classes and geographies.
  • You actively work with portfolio management to manage and be responsible for end-to-end execution of secondary loan transactions liaising with multiple teams internally and externally in order to promote asset rotation and the management of concentration risk.
  • You will engage with insurers to explore availability of commercial private risk insurance for select transactions while engaging internally to evaluate risk/return profiles of the insurance product solution. 
  • You will act as one of the SFS Syndications representative to build strong network and relationships with external stakeholders (banks, institutions, investors, etc.) to identify new selldown opportunities.
What you need to make real what matters.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in business, finance, or a related field. An additional qualification would be viewed positively (e.g., MBA, CFA).
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in loan syndication within a banking / project and structured finance environment.
  • Be a specialist in financial products (complex, structured, limited and non-recourse loans, corporate/hybrid debt structures) and have a deep commercial understanding in project finance. 
  • Well-developed network of banks, institutional investors and credit insurance institutions in the loan syndication market with access to senior decision makers. 
  • A high-performance professional demonstrating sound judgement and business integrity who possesses strong communication skills, excellent negotiation capabilities, experience in working in a multicultural environment and demonstrable stakeholder management expertise.
  • Proficient English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Medium amount of travelling anticipated (taking into consideration the New Normal working environment)
