Your role: As a Global Digital Capex Project Manager you own a crucial position for the success of our Life Science Capex investments and business growth within the Capex Management & PMO Team in LS ISCO – E&T. You will be driving the digitization and automation of our Capex related processes to help the team in deploying overall Capex management processes and best-in-class project management methods, systems, and tools. Your effort will help the leadership to steer our portfolio, advance robust initiative proposals, and ensure rigorous execution to meet our business commitments.

Your key tasks will involve leading the “LS Capex Dashboard” to provide regular status updates and updated financial information regarding all of our Life Science capex investments for key stakeholders, including ISCO, business units, and controlling. Additionally, your role will support the strategic direction of our Capex portfolio by coordinating the forecasting and reporting processes, such as SD and F3.
Another important responsibility will be the evaluation of various tools and systems aimed at digitizing and automating our Capex processes, including FEL, approval processes, and reporting followed by leading potential system rollouts. The implementation and improvement of reporting systems will also be crucial in your role, which will ensure efficient and effective Capex spend reporting and forecasting, exemplified by the Capex dashboard in PowerBI.
Furthermore, you will explore additional opportunities to automate team support, such as creating a ChatGPT bot for Capex-related inquiries. A review of Capex approval submissions to CPRB, IVC, GL, and BOP will be necessary to ensure compliance with our Capex Guidelines, which includes challenging proposals, ensuring robust implementation, and clearly identifying and mitigating risks. You will also support and where necessary, lead initiatives and projects related to transformation projects as assigned by the manager, particularly as part of the OLC Capex harmonization program. Lastly, you will support ad-hoc and regular report requests from the CEO office, LSET, and GL concerning the Capex portfolio and individual projects.

Note: we are open to all global applications (preferred EMEA, US and APAC).

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, engineering or other relevant field, a Master's degree is advantageous
  • 3+ years of business experience, ideally around digitization or consulting, preferably in a multinational environment (life science or pharma and/or within our company)
  • Experience in evaluation, implementation and automation of processes, systems and tools in an organization
  • Experience in reporting and visualization tools (e.g. tableau, Power BI, etc.)
