Located in Warsaw, Poland, you will be working as member of our well-established Corporate Compliance Team with colleagues mainly based in Ludwigshafen/Germany. You are operationally reporting to a senior member of the Corporate Compliance / Data Privacy team. Your administrative supervisor will be the Head of Legal & Compliance Poland.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will act as contact person for the regional and country data protection functions and provide advice and guidance in data protection matters.
- You assist in the comprehensive and accurate documentation of processing activities in our data protection management system (OneTrust), in close coordination with various stakeholders.
- You support the data protection organization in the Region EMEA in effectively managing data protection risks.
- You will conduct, process and assess Data Protection Impact Assessments in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
- You are organizing and managing the knowledge transfer regarding data protection in the different communities and Q&A Events for the Regional Data Protection Organization.
- You will be involved in initiatives and projects on behalf of the Data Protection Office.
- You will oversee and monitor developments of data protection regulations and assess BASF’s policies and procedures accordingly.
- In the role as “DPA Coordinator”, you will be involved in the process of evaluating and concluding the contracts related to data protection with external service provider as required by GDPR.
- Supported by tools and templates vou oversee and coordinate the process from the decision of whether GDPR requires a specific agreement with a Service Provider to the negotiations and the signing of the corresponding contract (Data Processing Agreement “DPA”/ Standard Contractual Clauses “SCC”).
- Potentially other project and support tasks within the area of compliance & integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You hold a law degree (above average) and possess advanced knowledge of data protection law, along with a passion for data protection. Professional experience in this area would be an advantage.
- Experience with the data protection management platform OneTrust is a plus, as is previous experience as a data protection officer.
- You are skilled at developing pragmatic approaches and finding business-oriented solutions.
- You demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and enjoy interaction and collaboration within interdisciplinary groups.
- You possess excellent communication and social skills, allowing you to easily establish contacts, build networks and foster trusting relationships.
- You take pleasure in educating and collaborating with individuals from various functions and business areas.
- You are fluent in English (both written and spoken), and proficiency in German is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines effectively
YOUR ROLE
As a Compliance Specialist Data Privacy you will be responsible to support the Data Protection Office of BASF Group and the Regional Data Protection Organization EMEA in the implementation, monitoring and enhancement of the BASF Data Privacy Compliance Program. Your responsibility will be at the level of BASF Group, supporting the global compliance program in an international context.
